Lady Becomes Highest Bidder to Get Wine Shop In Auction In J&K

At present, the online auction of liquor shops is going on in Jammu and Kashmir under the Excise Policy 2022-23. In this process that started on March 9, the most expensive liquor shop has been sold for Rs 5 crore.

A woman from Gandhi Nagar has made the most expensive bid of Rs 5 crore for this liquor shop, after which other applicants withdrew their hands. So now this woman has to deposit Rs 2.5 crore with the Excise Department by March 19, and the remaining 2.5 crores will have to be deposited with the department by March 28, after which she will be issued a liquor shop license for the financial year 2022-23.

According to information received from sources, this woman resident of Gandhi Nagar has made a bid of Rs 5 crore for a liquor shop in Hatli Mor of Kathua, which is the highest bid to date. Under the Excise Policy 2022-23, the first phase of the online auction process of 279 liquor shops in Jammu and Kashmir was completed on Saturday, in which around 100 shops were auctioned. In this phase, it has got a bid of Rs 5 crore.

This entire auction process will be completed on March 15, after which successful auctioneers will have to submit the NOC of the shop to the Excise Department in the next fifteen days. After this, they will be issued a license for 2022-23. The auction process of the shops for which the auction started on March 10 concluded on Saturday.

Similarly, the auction process of shops whose auction started on March 11 will be completed today, and the shops whose auction started on March 12 will be completed on March 15.
