Dengue Cases Increasing in Jammu and Kashmir, Total Number Reaches to 367

Dengue cases are increasing continuously in Jammu and Kashmir. Dengue has been confirmed in more than 60 people in the last two days. With this, the total number of dengue cases in Jammu and Kashmir has gone up to 367 so far. Most of the cases are coming from the Jammu district itself.

According to the information received from the health department, the Jammu district is most affected by dengue. At the same time, cases of dengue are also coming in Samba, Kathua, Udhampur districts. At present, more than forty dengue patients are admitted to the Government Medical College, Jammu itself. So far, two patients have died. At the same time, after the instructions of the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Secretary, now the Health Department has also become alert. On the one hand, in collaboration with the Jammu Municipal Corporation, a fogging campaign has been carried out in the entire Jammu city.

At the same time, a committee has been constituted under the supervision of State Malaria Officer Dr Belu Sharma. An official of the Health Department said that more dengue cases would come for a few days. However, the cases will start decreasing when the temperature comes down in the third week of November.

Seventy-five cases of corona infection were reported: Out of 75 cases, 63 cases are from Kashmir, and 12 cases are from the Jammu division. Seven cases were reported in the Jammu division, one each in the Jammu district, three in Doda, Ramban and Reasi. No new cases were reported in the other six districts of Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch and Kishtwar. Now there is not a single patient in the Kathua district. This is because this district has become completely corona free. In Kashmir, 39 cases were reported in the Srinagar district, ten in Baramulla, four in Kupwara, three each in Anantnag and Pulwama. Not a single case came up in Bandipora. This is because the Shopian district has already become corona free.

At the same time, after the recovery of 100 patients, only 816 active patients are left. Of these, a maximum of 300 active patients remains in the Srinagar district. This is the least active patient in the Srinagar district after May. Not only this, but the vaccination campaign is also going on to protect against corona. On Monday, 12,122 people took the first dose, and 72,228 people took the second dose. So far, one crore 37 lakh, more than 95 thousand doses have been given to the people. In Kupwara and Udhampur districts, close to 100 per cent of people have taken the first dose. In 17 districts, all the people have already taken the first dose. Health department officials say that the campaign is on, and now the focus is on the second dose.
