Grenade Attack at Srinagar, four injured

Two CRPF personnel, a cop and and a civilian were among four injured in a grenade attack in Srinagar, after terrorists hurled a grenade towards a deployment party of CRPF in Nawab Bazar chowk of Srinagar city.

According to the sources, a grenade was tossed at troopers of 36 Battalion and it exploded, leaving four persons including a civilian with splinter injuries.

The injured have been identified as Constable Fayaz Ahmed, trooper Harish Kumar, and civilian Hazik Ali, a resident of Chanapora owner of a poultry shop.

The condition of the injured of Grenade attack are stated to be stable. The area was cordoned off after the attack, however, no arrests were made.
