After receiving intel inputs regarding Kashmiri insurgents reaching the city to carry out terror strikes, the Delhi Police on Wednesday sounded an alert. As per reports, the Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP) of all 15 districts were directed to heighten security at places having high footfall like railway stations, metro stations, malls, major markets etc. They have also been told to ensure maximum mobility of police personnel on streets to avoid any such terror strikes. The security checks in guest houses, hotels and paying guest accommodations are on the rise to find suspects. All police stations have been alerted to step up checking of vehicles including parking lots to spot abandoned vehicles, which the insurgents may use to carry out bomb blasts.
