During the ongoing 78-day religious programme dedicated to the four Vedas at Ved Mandir in Yol, noted Vedic scholar and Yoga Acharya Swami Ramswaroop delivered an insightful discourse, highlighting the relevance of Vedic teachings in modern governance and social order.Addressing devotees, Swami Ramswaroop referred to a mantra from the Rigveda (4/25/6), explaining that a ruler elected by the people must ensure that there is no shortage of food, wealth, or essential resources within the state. He emphasized that the foremost duty of a ruler is to eradicate injustice, poverty, and insecurity so that citizens can live with dignity and prosperity. He further stated that an ideal leader must safeguard virtuous individuals, maintain equality between the rich and the poor, and impose strict punishment on wrongdoers. According to Vedic philosophy, a well-disciplined administration that respects and protects scholars leads to a stable and harmonious society free from suffering.
Swami Ramswaroop underscored that governance should be guided by Vedic principles, describing the Almighty as the supreme ruler and the four Vedas as a divine constitution meant to guide human conduct and administration.
The discourse left a deep impact on the audience, reaffirming the timeless relevance of Vedic wisdom in shaping a just, balanced, and welfare-oriented society.
