Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP candidate for Jammu-Reasi constituency, and BJP Vice-President Surjit Singh Salathia held Congress responsible for the difficult situation facing the citizens in the country. Speaking at public meetings in Bari Brahmana, Gurha Slathia, and adjoining areas, Sharma claimed that Congress has consistently betrayed the people’s trust due to its dynastic politics and corruption-driven policies. Although Congress was in power at both the central and state levels for many years, it failed to serve the people sincerely and alleviate their challenges.
Sharma accused Congress of prioritizing the promotion of the Nehru-Gandhi family and fostering corruption across different levels of governance.
He noted that Congress leaders faced little opposition to their actions due to a lack of political counterbalance.
However, with BJP emerging as a strong political force and Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister, Congress is finding it increasingly difficult to maintain relevance.
Surjeet Singh Salathia echoed Sharma’s sentiments, noting that Congress leaders are still holding onto outdated aspirations of regaining public trust. In an era where modern communication keeps people well-informed, it is no longer possible for any party to mislead the public. Salathia emphasized the need for practical work over empty promises and highlighted the good governance model of the Modi government as a reason for public support in favor of the BJP.
Both Sharma and Salathia assured the public that supporting BJP would signify a continued commitment to development in various sectors. They pledged to keep the momentum of progress going at a rapid pace.
Former Minister Chander Prakash Ganga, DDC Sudershan Singh, and other party leaders accompanied Sharma and Salathia and also campaigned for support for the BJP.
