DC Doda chairs District Level Review Committee meeting

A meeting of the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) for Doda was held at the conference hall of the DC office complex.
The session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and saw the presence of several key officials, including CPO Doda Manesh Kumar Manhas, ACD Doda Manoj Kumar, District Project Officer S. Parmjeet Singh, LDM Parveen Kumar, the General Manager of DIC, and other representatives from various departments and banks. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner urged bank stakeholders to maximize the disbursement of bank schemes and achieve set targets.
Discussions focused on various processes, including application status received, target achievements, disbursement, and employment generation through the banking sector.
The meeting’s agenda covered the confirmation of the minutes from the last meeting and a review of bank-wise and sector-wise achievements related to the priority and non-priority sectors under the Annual Credit Plan 2023-24 as of March 2024. The committee analyzed the progress of banks in deposits, advances, and the Credit-Deposit (C.D.) Ratio, discussing mechanisms to increase the CD ratio and the flow of credit to priority sectors and weaker sections of society.
Specific directions were issued by the Deputy Commissioner to ensure the effective execution of the meeting’s agenda, emphasizing a thorough review and validation of the previous meeting’s minutes, accurate reporting and transparency in achievements under the Annual Credit Plan, and strategic methods to enhance the CD ratio. Additionally, discussions extended to government-sponsored self-employment schemes and priority sector lending, particularly focusing on agriculture, animal husbandry, and other allied sectors. Progress under SHG, social security schemes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and Aadhaar seeding by banks were reviewed. The meeting concluded with resolutions for actionable steps to improve credit facilities and support for various sectors, aiming for sustainable development and financial inclusion within the district.
