RS Pura: In a magnificent display of devotion, unity and community service, the La-Krishna Foundation successfully concluded the Nagar Kirtan procession and Langar on the auspicious occasion of the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. The spiritually vibrant procession commenced from Simbal Camp and passed through the scenic streets of Miransahib before culminating at Indira Nagar, creating an atmosphere of devotion and celebration that resonated across the region.
Thousands of devotees, cutting across linguistic, cultural and social backgrounds, participated enthusiastically in the Nagar Kirtan, which was marked by the soulful recitation of Gurbani, traditional Shabad Kirtan and an overwhelming spirit of faith. The colourful procession reflected the rich Sikh heritage and the enduring message of unity and righteousness preached by Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
As part of the celebrations, a grand Langar was organised at the joint premises of Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India. Upholding the Sikh principle of equality and selfless service, the Langar witnessed devotees from all walks of life sitting together and partaking in the sacred Prasad. The event served as a powerful symbol of communal harmony, brotherhood and mutual respect.Addressing the gathering, the organisers highlighted the timeless relevance of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s teachings, emphasising the values of courage, compassion, sacrifice and justice. They urged the people to imbibe these ideals in daily life and work collectively towards building a peaceful, inclusive and socially responsible society. The organisers noted that the message of the tenth Sikh Guru remains a guiding light, especially in contemporary times.
The Langar commenced at 1:00 PM and continued till late evening, with volunteers and devotees actively participating in Seva with remarkable dedication and humility. The atmosphere throughout the day remained filled with spiritual fervour, joy and a deep sense of fulfilment, reflecting the essence of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s legacy.The La-Krishna Foundation expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all devotees, volunteers, patrons and well-wishers for their overwhelming support and cooperation in making the Nagar Kirtan and Langar a grand success.
