The Friends Welfare Society organized a grand ceremony to honour the exemplary public service of Madan Lal, former Sarpanch of Lower Raipur Domana Panchayat, by presenting him with an honorary shawl as a mark of respect and gratitude. The event witnessed the participation of prominent community members and well-wishers who gathered to acknowledge his long-standing contribution to grassroots development and social welfare.
Born and raised in Lower Raipur Domana, Madan Lal served the Panchayat as Sarpanch for more than a decade. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in implementing several developmental initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of local residents. Among his notable achievements were efforts to ensure clean and reliable water supply to households and the development of road infrastructure, which significantly improved connectivity within the area. These initiatives not only strengthened basic amenities but also facilitated economic and social progress in the region. Under his leadership, the Panchayat witnessed a marked increase in local employment opportunities through community-driven projects and government schemes. He also placed special emphasis on women’s empowerment by supporting programmes that encouraged women’s participation in self-help groups, skill development activities and decision-making processes. His inclusive approach to governance helped foster a sense of participation and ownership among the residents. Even after completing his tenure as Sarpanch, Madan Lal has continued to actively champion community causes. His sustained involvement in social initiatives has inspired younger members of the community to take up leadership roles and work for collective welfare. Speaking on the occasion, senior citizen Subedar Major Gunni Ram Kaith (Retd) lauded Madan Lal’s dedication and stated that his life and service remain a source of inspiration for future generations.
The ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including R.L. Kaith, Hans Raj Loria, Subedar Baldev Chand Sandhu (Retd), Havildar Des Raj Kaith (Retd), Ramesh Lal, Ashwani Kumar, Gourav Kumar and Tajasvi. Their presence underscored the widespread respect and admiration enjoyed by Madan Lal for his selfless service and enduring commitment to community development.
