Budhal, Rajouri, Dec 30
Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu, BJP Spokesperson, while addressing a mammoth gathering in Budhal constituency as the key speaker, in the presence of former Minister and Vice President, BJP J&K, Ch. Zulfikar Ali, District President Dev Raj Sharma, Ch. Shafiq Ahmad (Vice President, ST Morcha), Manzoor Naik (Morcha Vice President), and Dr. Garu Snehi (Vice President, SC Morcha), commemorated the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee as part of the Atal Smriti Diwas.
Dr. Shishu said that Vajpayee ji’s doctrine of Good Governance serves as a model not only for India but also inspires many countries across the world. His vision of governance was deeply rooted in the cultural ethos of the nation, and he strongly emphasized adherence to the basic principles of Raj Dharma, ensuring that public issues were addressed with justice irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. Highlighting Vajpayee ji’s multifaceted personality, Dr. Shishu said that his contributions to the development of the country will be remembered for generations. Born into a humble family in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Vajpayee ji rose to become the first non-Congress Prime Minister to complete a full term in office. His visionary projects such as the Golden Quadrilateral National Highway, connecting the four metropolitan cities, and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), which connected rural India, were path-breaking initiatives reflecting his profound governance model.
Dr. Shishu further said that Vajpayee ji ushered in a sea change in the telecom policy, revolutionizing the telecommunication sector and making services available at people’s doorsteps at affordable rates, thereby ending the long waiting periods of earlier times. This reflected his pro-people approach to governance. During his tenure, Vajpayee ji introduced several reforms to ensure transparency, responsiveness, and time-bound disposal of public grievances. He took a series of initiatives to reform the system by promoting digitization and making governance more people-friendly.
Dr. Shishu added that Vajpayee ji’s popularity was not confined to his own political party alone; rather, he earned equal respect from the opposition as well. It was his inclusive vision that enabled him to successfully lead coalition governments without compromising national interests.
Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu further said that Vajpayee ji was a great statesman, a true democrat, a poet, philosopher, journalist, and politician par excellence. He gave the world a new doctrine of governance based on transparency, inclusiveness, democratic values, and above all, people-centric policies.

The entire nation remembers him and celebrates his birth anniversary as Good Governance Day, which is the real tribute to his unparalleled contribution, Dr. Shishu said.
