SAMBA, Dec 28: BJP J&K UT Vice President Rekha Mahajan today led the Mann Ki Baat listening programme at Booth No. 44, Village Dug (Channi Fatwal), Mandal Swankha, the first village near the International Border in District Samba.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of local residents and BJP workers, reflecting strong grassroots engagement.
Addressing the gathering, Rekha Mahajan said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat has become a powerful medium to connect the leadership directly with the people.
“Mann Ki Baat reflects the soul of India. It carries the voices, hopes and achievements of ordinary citizens, and under Modi Ji’s leadership it has become a platform of national inspiration,” she said.
Rekha Mahajan praised the Prime Minister’s vision of inclusive development and stated that the government’s initiatives for the poor, farmers, youth and Economically Weaker Sections have transformed the social landscape of the country.
“PM Modi has ensured that development reaches the last person in society, including people living in border and remote areas like this village,” she added.
On the occasion, Booth President Ram Lal was felicitated for his dedicated service and commitment to the party.
Rekha Mahajan also interacted with the local karyakartas, encouraging them to remain active at the booth level and strengthen the party’s connect with the people.
A Swadeshi Sankalp was also administered, urging everyone to promote indigenous products and contribute to the nation’s economic self-reliance.
DDC Chairman Keshav Dutt Sharma, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the tireless efforts of booth-level workers in taking the BJP’s policies and welfare schemes to the people.
He said that strong booth organization is the foundation of a strong democracy and credited the Modi government for giving special attention to border districts through development and security initiatives.
Mandal President Naveen, Sarpanch Om Parkash, and senior party leaders were also present on the occasion.
The programme concluded with renewed enthusiasm among the workers to spread awareness about government schemes and to work collectively for the progress and prosperity of the region, especially in the strategically important border areas of Samba.
