Chairman of the National Foundation for Journalism and Media (NFJM), Dr. Tahir Rufayee, today called on Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Sh. Kavinder Gupta, and discussed key issues related to media outreach, development communication, and strengthening the information network across the Union Territory.
Dr. Rufayee was accompanied by Puneet Arora, National Vice President; Vaneet Kumar, Editor-in-Chief, Morning Brief Newspaper; Amit Panday, Executive Editor, News39; Mr. Shubham, Early Post; Muktaz Mohd and Mr. Muzaffar Shah, Himalayan Express Newspaper; and Mr. Ashish. During the meeting, the delegation discussed the importance of responsible journalism in highlighting the developmental progress of Ladakh and ensuring that voices from remote regions receive due coverage. Dr. Rufayee briefed the Hon’ble LG about NFJM’s ongoing national initiatives to build stronger coordination between the media, public, and administration. The Hon’ble LG appreciated NFJM’s outreach and assured all possible support for initiatives that promote credible journalism and positive public engagement in the Union Territory.
