DC Shopian for coordinated approach to mitigate winter challenges

SHOPIAN, Sept 30
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta, today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review winter preparedness and department wise Action Plans.
DC called for immediate preparation of Departmental Action Plans and emphasized the need for a coordinated approach to mitigate winter challenges.
He instructed concerned officers to execute mitigation plans efficiently, ensuring prompt responses to avoid inconvenience to the public.
Focus was given on preparation of the action plans mentioning the prioritisation of roads for snow clearance, unhindered power supply & timely replacement of DTs with decentralised & adequate Buffer stocking in Zainapora, Keller and Shopian.
He stressed on proper and comprehensive arrangements for uninterrupted water supply, healthcare facilities, fire fighting services, relief and rescue, Mughal Road snow clearance and other priority issues.
DC instructed for providing safety gears to frontline staff, strict following of duty rosters, better ambulatory services especially for expecting mothers & terminally ill patients and heating arrangements in hospitals and health centres of the district.
The meeting focused on interdepartmental coordination, evolving efficient mechanisms to address public grievances, and ensuring seamless services during the winter season with the establishment of Integrated Control Room at District level and department wise emergency control centres.
SSP Anayat Ali, ADDC Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ADC Dr.Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACR, ACD, SDM, Tehsildars, Executive Engineers, CEO, DIO, ARTO, CEO MC, MS DH, and other officers attended the meeting.
