Seeks focus on timely disbursal, adherence to SOPs for genuine beneficiaries

Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Pankaj Magotra (JKAS), today chaired a meeting of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Committee in the Conference Hall of the DC Office to review the verification process of relief claims under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
The meeting was attended by ADC, Tahir Mustafa Malik, ACR, Mohd Sayeed, DTO, concerned executive engineers, CAHO, DSHO, all Tehsildars, Account Officer DC office Poonch and other concerned officers/officials. The meeting aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and transparency in the relief disbursal process. During the session, a detailed review of 121 relief cases was conducted, with all concerned district officers and Tehsildars presenting comprehensive briefings on the status of claims within their respective jurisdictions.
The ADDC emphasized the need for strict adherence to established SOPs to ensure that only genuine beneficiaries receive support under SDRF. He highlighted the critical importance of timely and accurate verification of relief claims.
To expedite the resolution of pending cases, the ADDC instructed Tehsildars to ensure proper monitoring by their respective Naib Tehsildars, and to submit the verified lists at the earliest. He directed that all eligible relief cases be disbursed promptly for the benefit of the affected public.
The ADDC also called for a collaborative and coordinated approach among all stakeholders to ensure smoother operations and quicker delivery of relief. He reiterated the administration commitment to transparency, accountability, and timely assistance to disaster-affected families.
