Prioritizing the unity of culture & regions in the nation, Ajendra Sharma, J&K Prabhari of ‘Bihar Diwas’ under the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” Abhiyan appealed Bihar residents in J&K to spare time to visit their home state to vote in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Ajendra Sharma was accompanied by Baldev Singh Billawaria, General Secretary & J&K and Convenor of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA, and Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge J&K BJP, in the press conference at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Addressing the media persons, Ajendra Sharma emphasized that the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as a landmark step towards strengthening cultural unity across the country. He said that the government firmly believes in nurturing the bonds of shared traditions, languages, and lifestyles among different regions, thereby knitting India into one strong fabric of unity and diversity.
Sharma noted that the celebration of “Bihar Diwas” in Jammu & Kashmir is not merely an event of cultural festivity but also a symbol of growing emotional connect between the people of both regions. He urged that the unity of the nation depends on recognizing and respecting each other’s identities, while standing together as one collective family.
He further added that the Modi government has consistently worked to promote inclusiveness, mutual respect, and opportunities for every citizen, ensuring that no section of society feels left out. Calling upon the Bihar residents working in Jammu & Kashmir, to exercise their franchise with enthusiasm in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Sharma said that their active participation would not only strengthen the democratic process but also reflect their commitment to contributing wholeheartedly in this festival of democracy. In his introductory note, Baldev Singh Billawaria underlined that the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” campaign is a mission to deepen national integration through cultural exchange and people-to-people connect, which remains at the core of Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a united and strong India.
