Saint Sadguru of Sahib worship Shri Madhuparamhans Ji Maharaj, while delighting the congregation with the nectar of his discourses in Akhnoor, Jammu, said that there is no other place where there is so much controversy as there is in the path of Sahib. What is the reason? Is there a contradiction in Sahib’s words? No.
It has been 55 years since I gave initiation. I have studied all the different schools of thought, seen them all. There was a time when Sahib’s devotion spread all over the world and people started inclining towards Sahib’s devotion. In such a situation, some joined them.
Some different schools of thought emerged from Sahib’s branch. Everyone is saying that we are the real ones. In such a situation, it is difficult to decide who is the real one. Gurudev named 8 people. Now all 8 of them have left their bodies. They were all saying that we are the real successors. There was a first disciple, he was illiterate. He said that the king gives his kingdom to the eldest son. We are the eldest. Some of my disciples also started giving initiation. I did not order anyone.
Sahib further said that to attain that supreme element, a true Guru is required. People read scriptures but do not contemplate on it. Ramayana clearly says that without a Guru, no one can cross the ocean of life. Even if he is like Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Who is greater than Ram and Krishna? They were the heroes of three worlds. When they too came to this world as incarnations, they too accepted a Guru.
It is a simple matter that there is some true element ahead. It cannot be attained without a true Guru. That supreme element cannot be known by the senses. Only five elements can be seen by these senses. Water can be seen, earth can be seen, air can be seen, fire can be seen, sky can be seen. Apart from these elements, these senses cannot see anything else. It is clearly coming in the Vaanis that God is beyond these. Then some knowledge senses can also see. Can feel cold and hot. Can feel fragrance. But that element cannot be known even by these. That is why that supreme element is said to be beyond these. It cannot be known even by the four senses of the inner being, mind, intellect, consciousness, ego. It is said to be beyond space, beyond the aksharatita etc. When the Guru gives such an element inside then it will be known by that thing. What is it? There is no means to reach God in this body. If this were possible then the whole world would have been liberated. That is why it is the rarest supreme position. Then how can we see it? By the power of the soul. So why are everyone not able to see it by the power of the soul.
The soul is inside, isn’t it? If there is a cataract then one cannot see clearly. Sahib is saying that there is cataract in the world. If any doctor has a cataract then he cannot operate his cataract himself. Similarly, this man cannot cross the ocean of the world on his own.
No matter how much effort he makes. He is tied with many bonds. He cannot be freed by his own power at any cost. Unless that power frees the soul itself, it cannot be freed. No matter how much effort Bhagirathi makes, it cannot be freed.
There are 70 Pralayas on the way. That is why it is impossible. The power to free the soul and take it back to where it came from is given by a true Sadguru who has reached there.
