Senior BJP leader and MLA from Bahu Assembly Constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today held a public grievances camp at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The camp witnessed participation from several deputations and individuals who apprised the MLA about their local issues and sought redressal.
A deputation from Sector-3, Nanak Nagar, requested urgent repair of lanes and drains, while another from Sector-8, Trikuta Nagar, raised concern over the acute shortage of drinking water. Residents of Mohalla Paroli, Sector-2 Channi, complained that the PHE department has not yet connected the main pipe to the storage tank, causing hardships. Similarly, people from Dagiana Pulli sought clearance of clogged drains.
An individual highlighted the delay in receiving old age pension, while a deputation of e-bus drivers raised concerns about their working conditions. Another deputation from Ward-47, Qasim Nagar, demanded setting up of PHE connection stands at public places for the convenience of the residents.
Randhawa gave a patient hearing to all the grievances and assured early resolution. He promptly took up many issues with the concerned officials and, in several cases, issued written directions on the spot to ensure timely follow-up.
Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that BJP is committed to being a party of service and accountability. He said that the strength of BJP lies in its continuous engagement with the people and prompt responsiveness to their issues. He added that the public grievance camps provide a direct platform for citizens to voice their concerns, and it is our responsibility to ensure they are addressed in a time-bound manner. He further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ guides BJP’s commitment to public welfare at every level.
The event was coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-Convenor of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, J&K BJP, who facilitated effective interaction between the public and the party leadership.
