RAMBAN, Sept 9
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool, Imtiaz, today visited Thatharka area of Sub-Division Gool to assess the damages caused by the recent heavy rainfall. He was accompanied by Tehsildar Gool, Harjeet Singh, BDO Gool, Sadam Hussain and other concerned officials.
During the visit, the SDM inspected the extent of damage to infrastructure, link roads, houses and agricultural land. He also interacted with local residents, patiently listening to their grievances and assuring them of all possible support from the administration for the affected families. The SDM issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments to expedite restoration of water and power supply in the affected areas and to prepare relief cases for the deserving families. He further instructed the officials to ensure immediate restoration of damaged roads to facilitate smooth connectivity and accessibility for the local population.
As part of the visit, the SDM also inspected the ongoing construction of the Higher Secondary School Thatharka building and directed to expedite the construction work.
