Bal Raksha Bharat, an organization dedicated to the protection of child rights and the promotion of quality education, in collaboration with the Education Department, Budgam, organized a significant event under its five-year Peace Education Project at Government Girls Middle School Kowoosa Khalisa, Zone Narbal.
The initiative aims to foster a culture of peace, tolerance, and inclusive education across the Kashmir Valley, creating a safe, enabling, and high-quality learning environment for children.
The event was graced by Bal Raksha Bharat Chairman Mr. Deepak Kapoor, CEO Bal Rakshah and Headmaster Girls Middle school Kowoosa Mr. Nazir Shahid, along with other board members, teachers, community leaders, and officials from the Education Department. Discussions focused on the organization’s ongoing efforts, the future trajectory of the Peace Education Project, and the expansion of health and educational interventions in the region. Students actively participated in the program, sharing their perspectives on peace, social cohesion, and emotional well-being. Many emphasized that a peaceful school environment greatly enhances learning outcomes and contributes to holistic personal development.
Community members and stakeholders commended Bal Raksha Bharat’s initiatives, particularly its impactful work in child protection, education, and healthcare.
In their closing remarks to the media, board members reflected on the progress of the Peace Education Project to date and reaffirmed the organization’s steadfast commitment to building a safe, inclusive, and healthy future for children in Jammu & Kashmir.
