Army conducts Medical Camp at Chapnari- Bankot in Banihal

The Indian Army, in collaboration with doctors from Sub-District Hospital Banihal, organized a Medical Camp at remote Chapnari, Bankot area in Banihal to benefit residents of surrounding areas as part of its commitment to community welfare.
The camp aimed to provide specialized healthcare services to people with limited medical facilities in the region. A dedicated team of Army doctors, assisted by specialists from SDH Banihal, conducted medical consultations, provided essential medicines and facilitated referrals to higher centers for management of serious ailments. In addition to medical care, locals were made aware of seasonal health risks, preventive strategies and the importance of hygiene of self and surroundings.
The initiative witnessed an overwhelming participation, with around 435 individuals benefiting from the camp. The Indian Army, with the support of local health authorities, reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding not only the security but also the health and well-being of communities residing in far-flung and difficult terrains.
