SUNDERBANI, Aug 28
Social Welfare Department Rajouri organizes a special Wellness camp for Senior Citizens in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris NGO and AYUSH department at PWD Dak Bunglow Sunderbani.
The Camp was coordinated by Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Sunderbani, Rahul Puri under the guidance of District Social Welfare Officer Rajouri Abdul Raheem. On the onset a heartwarming counselling session was conducted by a team of NGO Brahma Kumaris which focuses on how to deal with old age and loneliness in this stage of life. Senior Citizens were also informed regarding their Legal Rights and Welfare Initiatives taken by the Government of India.
Other Services like On spot Sanction of any left out Old age Pension Cases, Redressal of Pension Grievances regarding Arrears of Pension was also provided.The camp finished with the Health Checkup of elderly persons and free distribution of Medicines to them by Dr. Manish and his team from AYUSH department.
The camp was a part of efforts of the Government to improve the overall well being of the Senior Citizens under Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojna.
The camp witnessed the participation of more than 150 Persons.
