Today, MLA Bahu, Sh. Vikram Randhawa, visited the Rehri Zone at Gandhi Nagar along with officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and prominent local dignitaries, including Rahul Kumar (former Councilor).
During the visit, Sh. Randhawa interacted with rehri vendors, patiently listening to their problems and concerns. The vendors raised important issues regarding the poor condition of flooring, need for proper tile work, and the demand for issuance/renewal of licenses to carry out their livelihood in a dignified manner.
Sh. Randhawa assured them of his full support and gave instructions to the JMC officials present on the spot for early redressal of grievances.
He emphasized that the condition of the Rehri Zone Gandhi Nagar requires urgent improvement through tile work, beautification, and proper maintenance, which will benefit both vendors and the general public.
The MLA further acknowledged the genuine concern of vendors regarding licensing and directed officials to look into the matter so that their issues can be resolved within the legal framework.
Reiterating his commitment to the development of Bahu Constituency, Sh. Randhawa stated that the upgradation of public utility areas like Rehri Zone Gandhi Nagar remains a top priority and assured vendors that necessary steps will be taken at the earliest.
