Senior BJP leader and MLA from Bahu Assembly Constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa held a public grievances camp at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Various deputations and individuals belonged to areas including South Extension Trikuta Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Gangyal, Nanak Nagar, Sector -9 Ext Trikuta Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Kalika Colony, Sector-5 By Pass Colony, Chattha Farm, Rehari Colony, Sanjay Nagar, Lakhmi Puram, Deep Nagar, Dashmesh Nagar, Ext Nanak Nagar, Ekta Vihar and other adjoining areas. Deputations presented various issues related to repair and restoration of damaged roads, garbage in lanes due to rains, construction of lanes and drains, requirement of street lights, transfer of shop in JDA department, reassessment of VAT and ST60, allotment of land, revenue matter, orld age pension, revocation of suspension order, construction of protection wall, bush clearance in lanes, leakages in PHE pipes, clearance of drains, construction of lanes and drains, out of order transformer, and other issues. Randhawa gave patient hearing to the grievances and promptly took up several matters with concerned officials. In many cases, he issued written directions on the spot to ensure that the issues raised by the public receive timely attention. Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa stressed that the BJP’s public representatives are always eager to address the day-to-day issues faced by the common people. It is our firm belief that good governance means being accessible and responsive to public concerns. Such grievance camps provide a direct channel for the people to reach us and get their matters resolved without delay, he said.
Randhawa further said that while elected representatives remain committed to highlighting people’s problems, the ultimate responsibility for timely redressal rests with the departments directly connected with public services.
He urged officials to work with dedication, sincerity, and accountability, ensuring that the grievances of the masses are addressed without unnecessary delay.
The event was coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-convenor of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, J&K BJP, who facilitated effective interaction between the public and the party leadership.
