Rekha Mahajan appreciates efforts of Inner Wheel in uplifting society

The Inner Wheel Club of Jammu Tawi organized its installation ceremony for the incoming year 2025-26 with great enthusiasm and fellowship. The event witnessed the formal installation of Vanita Kohli as the new President of the club. The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Santosh Gupta (PDC), who graced the occasion as the Installing Officer.
The event was attended by Rekha Mahajan, Vice President BJP J&K, as the Chief Guest, along with a large gathering of club members.
Outgoing President Paramjit Kaur formally called the meeting to order and shared her experiences, offering valuable suggestions and innovative ideas for the incoming team. She extended heartfelt gratitude to all members for their support during her tenure.
The ceremonial collaring of the new President, Vanita Kohli followed by the exchange of seats, marked the highlight of the event.
In her acceptance address, President Vanita Kohli introduced her new team, with Jaswant Kour as Secretary. She emphasized her vision for the year ahead, focusing on community service, women empowerment, and social outreach.
“The Inner Wheel has always been committed to serving humanity. With the support of my team, I aim to continue impactful projects that will bring meaningful change,” she said.
After installation, the Inner Wheel Club Jammu Tawi President Vanita Kohli distributed sewing machines among the needy, empowering women towards self-reliance.
Chief Guest Rekha Mahajan, while addressing the gathering, congratulated the newly installed team and appreciated the efforts of Inner Wheel in uplifting society.
She said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has empowered women at every level, from grassroots to global platforms, and it is encouraging to see clubs like Inner Wheel complementing his mission of service and development.”
She remarked, “Such platforms play a vital role in bringing women together for noble causes.
am confident that under the leadership of Vanita Kohli, the club will scale greater heights and contribute significantly to the welfare of the community.”
The meeting concluded with the National Anthem, followed by fellowship and refreshments.
