Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media In-Charge of the BJP, Jammu and Kashmir, along with retired senior citizens, released Balbir Ram Rattan’s latest poem titled ‘Ravidass Kahein’. This composition is dedicated to the thoughts, teachings, and spiritual messages of Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidass. Through this poem, an effort has been made to awaken the spirit of love, equality, service, and truth in society.
Present at the poem launch were retired Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir government Guldev Raj Bhagat, retired Auditor, Government of India, Hans Raj Loria, and BJP Kissan Morcha State President Rakesh Pant.
After the release of the poem, Dr. Pardeep remarked that Guru Ravidass was not just a saint but a social revolutionary whose words continue to guide society even today. He said that Balbir’s poem presents Guru Ravidass’ ideas in a simple, graceful, and impactful manner.
He further stated that ‘Ravidass Kahen’ echoes the eternal message of Guru Ravidass. Its verses call upon us to follow the path of love and truth as the true religion, deliver a clear message of social harmony and equality, emphasize the importance of action (karma), awaken the sense of divinity in every being, promote contentment and spiritual practice over material pleasures, and regard service to humanity as the greatest duty.
On this occasion, Balbir Ram Rattan said that ‘Ravidass Kahen’ is not just a poem but an attempt to bring Guru Ravidass’s ideas to the masses. He expressed hope that this poem would prove to be a strong step toward building a harmonious society.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Guldev Raj Bhagat, Hans Raj Loria, and Rakesh Pant, also congratulated Balbir Ram Rattan for his new composition.
