BJP State Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir, Pawan Sharma, has lauded the commendable role played by BJP Leader of Opposition and MLA Paddar–Nagsani Constituency, Sunil Sharma, and MLA Kishtwar Constituency, Shagun Parihar, in the ongoing evacuation and rescue operations in disaster-hit Chishoti village of Paddar, in District Kishtwar.
In a statement issued today, Pawan Sharma said, “The recent calamity in Chishoti has caused immense loss of life and property, plunging several families into grief. In this tragic hour, the timely intervention and proactive efforts of Sunil Sharma and Ms. Shagun Parihar have been exemplary. Their ground-level coordination with the Army, Police, administration, and local residents has resulted in saving many precious lives and providing immediate relief to the injured and displaced.”
Highlighting their efforts, Sharma emphasized that the leadership demonstrated by both MLAs in such testing circumstances reflects their dedication and deep sense of responsibility towards their people. “Their humanitarian approach and swift action stand as an inspiration, not only for the party cadre but also for the society at large,” he added.
The BJP State Secretary assured that the party stands shoulder to shoulder with the affected families across Jammu region and the people of Kishtwar district. He reiterated that every possible assistance will be extended through government support and party channels to ensure rehabilitation and relief.
Sharma further appealed to civil society, voluntary organizations, and the general public to extend a helping hand to the affected families. “This is the time to stand united and show compassion towards those who have suffered due to this tragedy,” he said.
