Senior BJP leader and MLA from Bahu Assembly Constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, has strongly asked the Jammu & Kashmir Government to expedite the release of the list of selected candidates under SO12 for outstanding sportspersons, who have been awaiting engagement for a long time despite the completion of the selection process.
Addressing a well-attended public grievances camp at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Randhawa cautioned the government against unnecessarily delaying already completed processes, warning that such delays could jeopardize the future of J&K’s youth.
Randhawa was apprised that the selection process of the candidates under SO12 stands complete. He said that it is the moral and administrative responsibility of the government to honor their merit without any further delay. Lingering such matters sends a wrong signal to our talented youth who have brought laurels to the Union Territory, Randhawa asserted.
The public grievances camp witnessed participation from a large number of individuals and deputations representing various localities, including Gandhi Nagar, Sec-2 Gangyal, Indira Nagar, Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, Laxmi Puram, Bawe, Rajouri-Poonch-Basti-Belicharana, Gole Market Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Rajiv Nagar Narwal, Arjun Vihar, and other areas.
Issues raised included repair of lanes and drains, refixing of gratings, construction of roads, clearance of clogged drains, irregular water supply, unscheduled power cuts, SRO43 appointments, encroachment over Rajiv Nagar Nalah, extension of e-bus routes, and the long-pending SO12 sportsperson appointments.
Randhawa patiently heard the grievances and promptly took up several matters with officials of the concerned departments. In many cases, he issued written directions on the spot to ensure timely redressal. He reiterated that BJP remains committed to resolving public issues through active coordination with the administration.
“Our aim is to bridge the gap between the people and the government. No genuine grievance should be left unheard or unattended. I will personally follow up on every matter raised here today until concrete results are achieved,” Randhawa emphasized.
The event was coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-convenor of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, J&K BJP, who facilitated effective interaction between the public and the party leadership.
