Socio Political Activist |Senior Trade Union Leader| Civic Reformer Mohammad Altaf Dar,has expressed serious concern over the alleged sale of unhygienic and substandard food items in the market, which poses a grave threat to public health.
M Altafdar Rajbagh emphasized that the consumption of contaminated and poorly handled food can lead to severe health problems, particularly among children and the elderly. He appealed to the concerned authorities, including the Food Safety Department, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), and Health Department, to take swift and strict action against those involved in selling such food products.
He urged for regular inspections of food outlets, roadside vendors, restaurants,dhabas and meat and dairy sellers, ensuring that all food items meet safety and hygiene standards.
He further called upon the public to remain vigilant and report any instances of unhygienic practices to the authorities. “Public health is not negotiable. We cannot allow negligence or greed to put people’s lives at risk.
The concerned departments must treat this matter as urgent and act without delay,”M Altafdar Rajbagh asserted.
