DLIC Poonch approves 107 cases under Mission YUVA

The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma has approved 107 cases during its 6th meeting held at the DC Office, Poonch.
This significant decision marks another milestone in the district’s ongoing efforts to promote entrepreneurship and self-reliance among the youth under the flagship Mission YUVA initiative.
The participants contributed to the deliberations with constructive inputs aimed at ensuring transparent and efficient implementation of the scheme. While reviewing the agenda, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all SBDU members. He directed them to work in close collaboration, ensuring that all processes from application scrutiny to final sanction are carried out in a time-bound and hassle-free manner.
The DC emphasized that Mission YUVA is a transformative program designed to empower local youth through financial assistance, skill enhancement and enterprise creation, thereby generating sustainable livelihoods and reducing unemployment. The Deputy Commissioner further instructed all members to maintain block-wise, panchayat-wise and activity-wise monitoring of the sanctioned cases. This would not only strengthen the tracking and evaluation process but also guarantee that every panchayat within the district benefits from the scheme’s outreach, he added. He stressed the need for continuous follow-up and field verification to ensure that the sanctioned projects are executed on the ground in accordance with the approved proposals.
Highlighting the broader vision of the initiative, Ashok Kumar Sharma reiterated that the ultimate objective of Mission YUVA is to nurture a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-employment among the district’s youth. He called upon all stakeholders to put in their best efforts to achieve 100% coverage and ensure that no eligible applicant is left behind.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all present members to work diligently for the success of Mission YUVA and to make Poonch district a model for youth empowerment in the UT of J&K.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Pankaj Magotra, General Manager DIC Khalid Wafa, Deputy Director Employment, CAO, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, AD Handicraft/ Handloom, LDM, DNO JKEDI, DDM NABARD, DNO, NRLM besides other members of the SBDU.
