On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami on Thursday, August 14 2025, A grand Shobhayatra will be Organized in Jammu, This was announced by Parshotam Dadhichi, President of Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir Province Ashok Kumar, Secretary of the Charitable Trust, and other dignitaries including the General Secretary of the Sabha, Sanjay Gupta, Treasurer Anil Magotra, and Executive President Prabhat Singh who were also present at the press conference.
While Talking to Media Dadhichi informed that the procession will begin from Shri Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj Diwan Mandir with a decorated chariot. The chariot will first arrive at Shri Geeta Bhavan for prayers before the procession starts. After worshiping Lord Krishna, the chariot will depart from Geeta Bhavan along with several other processions. The procession will pass through Shalamar Road, Indira Chowk, and Hari Market to reach Shri Raghunath Ji’s Temple. After prayers at Shri Raghunath Temple, the grand chariot will continue its journey.
From there, the procession will move through Veer Marg, Shaheedi Chowk, Rajendra Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purana Hospital Road, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Chowk Chabutara, Pakka Danga, Moti Bazaar, Geeta Bhavan, before reaching Ranbireshwar Temple, Shalamar Road, and City Chowk, and finally returning to Raghunath Temple. As in previous years, all market associations are enthusiastically welcoming the procession. Arrangements for water and refreshments have been made at various locations along the route.
A judging panel will be formed to evaluate the floats participating in the procession based on their merit. The panel will select the floats for the first, second, and third prizes. The participants will then be honored and awarded at a special ceremony. Through this press conference, he requested the Electricity Department, Water Supply Department, and Traffic Control Department to ensure that there are no disruptions along the procession route.
He also mentioned that units of the Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha across Jammu and Kashmir province are organizing processions in their respective areas on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
