Terror Tactics Fail Again

In recent developments across Jammu and Kashmir, a significant shift has emerged in the public mindset, especially among the youth, rendering Pakistan’s long-standing terror strategies increasingly ineffective. The recent actions by the Pakistan-backed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed are yet another desperate attempt to keep the dying embers of terrorism alive in the Valley. However, these efforts are only a reflection of Pakistan’s frustration, as its conspiracies continue to fail in the face of rising peace, development, and public awareness in the region. The attack on tourists in Pahalgam’s Baisaran a few days ago briefly instilled fear among the public, but life in Kashmir is once again returning to normal. This clearly indicates that such incidents, though tragic, no longer have the paralyzing impact they once did. Pakistan perhaps believes that its radical narratives still find relevance, but the ground reality speaks otherwise. It is now attempting to recruit vulnerable individuals into the fold of terrorism, but the security agencies are alert and have intensified surveillance and action against such movements. The Jammu and Kashmir Police, especially its Counter Intelligence Wing, has taken decisive steps in recent days, conducting multiple raids and detaining over ten cyber jihadis involved in online radicalisation. These arrests are evidence of the authorities’ proactive stance and their commitment to dismantling every network, whether physical or virtual, that supports terrorism. The police have made it clear that any attempt to revive or support terror activities, including those of Jaish, will be met with stringent action. Pakistan must acknowledge that though it may have succeeded in eliminating some individuals through its planned attacks, it has failed to weaken the resolve of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The narrative has shifted — from separatism and violence to development, peace, and prosperity. The new generation in Kashmir is aware of its future, aspirations, and the opportunities that lie ahead. This awareness has rendered Pakistan-sponsored terrorist propaganda ineffective. The youth today are more inclined towards education, employment, and progress, and have decisively turned away from the path of violence and extremism. It is this evolution in public consciousness that frustrates Pakistan the most. Its attempts to derail the peace in the Valley are being rejected not just by the administration but more importantly, by the people themselves. This is the real victory — when the very ground that once nurtured unrest now breeds hope, stability, and dreams of a better tomorrow.
