Pawan Sharma, Senior Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former State Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, has articulated strong opinions on the Congress party’s legacy and the transformative impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership since 2014, during an address to BJP karyakartas at a meeting.
Sharma alleged that the Congress party’s governance since independence in 1947 has been marked by unfulfilled promises, misgovernance, and a pervasive culture of corruption. He stated that this has hindered India’s development and deprived the nation of its rightful growth.
Sharma declared that the Congress party’s failure to meet national expectations and impede development for decades was a consequence of a deeply entrenched culture of corruption. He asserted that the party’s leadership failed to address key issues, leading to widespread disillusionment.
Sharma highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has brought about a significant change in the nation’s trajectory since 2014. He emphasized that PM Modi’s vision, leadership, and governance have transformed India, making it a beacon of hope and progress.
Sharma pointed out several key initiatives undertaken by the government under PM Modi’s leadership, including:
Economic Reforms: Implementation of bold economic reforms, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) and demonetization, to promote economic growth and transparency.
Infrastructure Development: Focus on developing world-class infrastructure, including roads, highways, and railways, to enhance connectivity and boost economic growth.
Social Welfare Schemes: Launch of various social welfare schemes, such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and PM Awas Yojana, to promote financial inclusion, health, and housing for all.
Good Governance: Emphasis on good governance, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that the benefits of development reach the grassroots level.
Sharma expressed his admiration for PM Modi’s leadership and vision, which have transformed India’s trajectory. He emphasized that the nation is moving towards a brighter future under PM Modi’s guidance and urged the people to support the government’s initiatives for a developed and prosperous India.
