Shree Amarnath ji Yatra 2025 triumphs over terror, showcases unity and devotion, stated Adv. Purnima Sharma in a press conference held at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
BJP Spokesperson Adv. Purnima Sharma, accompanied by BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and senior BJP leader Bawa Sharma, addressed the media on the ongoing Amarnath Yatra 2025 and its significance for the socio-economic and spiritual landscape of Jammu & Kashmir.
Adv. Purnima Sharma paid heartfelt tribute to the unshakable spirit of the devotees, stating, “Despite the unfortunate and barbaric terrorist attack near Pahalgam that jolted the entire country, the unwavering devotion of crores of pilgrims toward Baba Barfani remains unbroken. Their steadfast faith has triumphed over the forces of fear. This year’s Yatra is not only a religious journey but a testament to India’s spiritual resilience and national unity.”
She informed the media that over 1.85 lakh pilgrims had already completed the holy pilgrimage in the first week, and the administration expects more than 5 lakh pilgrims to visit this year. “This phenomenal participation proves one thing clearly, terrorism can never defeat devotion,” she said.
Adv. Sharma further highlighted the robust security and administrative arrangements that have made the Yatra smooth and safe. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, unprecedented security measures have been put in place. Thousands of personnel from the CRPF, J&K Police, and Indian Army are working round the clock. Drone surveillance, RFID tracking, medical facilities, and constant monitoring have transformed this Yatra into one of the most well-managed in history,” she noted and assured the nation that Jammu & Kashmir is peaceful, secure, and welcoming, and the spirit of unity will always prevail.
She emphasized the positive economic impact, saying, “This Yatra is a lifeline for local livelihoods, hoteliers, transporters, pony owners, small shopkeepers, and street vendors all see a boost in income. It also strengthens the case for further growth in faith-based and spiritual tourism, which is deeply rooted in our cultural identity.”
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra earlier extended a warm welcome to all Yatris and urged them to also explore Jammu along with Kashmir. “We encourage pilgrims to witness the unique cultural and spiritual heritage of the region,” he said.
