Dogra Degree College, under the aegis of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), concluded its 5-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Digital Governance (ERP) and NAAC Quality Benchmarking” with a valedictory session held in the college conference hall.
The day marked the formal conclusion of the FDP and was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, Sh. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Educational Trust and Principal, Dogra Degree College, Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges, Dr. Gitika Sehgal, Coordinator, Dogra Educational Trust.
The session began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by a summary of the 5-day FDP, presented by Mr. Rakesh Mohan Koul, Head of Department (BBA & B.Com) and Co-Convenor of IQAC. He highlighted the learning outcomes of each day, emphasizing the FDP’s focus on ERP implementation, NAAC criteria alignment, research methodology, and innovation.
In his inspirational address, Gulchain Singh Charak commended the efforts of the IQAC in organizing an impactful and well-structured FDP. He stated, “A teacher never stops learning. Even during my tenure as a Minister of Education, I carried my identity proudly as a teacher.”
He shared personal anecdotes from his journey from a teacher to a policymaker underlining the transformative power of education and lifelong learning. He urged the institution to continue such developmental initiatives, reinforcing the importance of continuous faculty upskilling in shaping academic excellence.
The event concluded with the recognition and facilitation of all resource persons who contributed their time, expertise, and guidance throughout the FDP. Tokens of appreciation and certificates were presented as a gesture of gratitude for their valuable contributions. The 5-day FDP was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of academic enhancement, collaboration, and digital preparedness among faculty members.
