BJP Conducts Mohalla Chaupal at Gorkha Nagar to Celebrate 11 Years of Transformation and Good Governance Under Modi Government

To mark the completion of 11 years of transformation and good governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a Mohalla Chaupal was organized at Ward No. 48, Gorkha Nagar, Bahu Fort, Jammu. The event aimed to connect directly with local residents and gather their feedback on the various public welfare schemes introduced by the government over the past decade.
The Chaupal was held under the leadership of District President Jammu South Naresh Jasrotia, along with Senior BJP leader Kr. Rajeev Charak and Mandal President Surjeet Singh. Advocate Ishant Gupta, State IT Head BJP J&K, was the main speaker at the Chaupal.
District Vice President Karuna Chhetri (Chaupal Convenor) and Leela Chhetri (Chaupal Co-Convenor). District Secretary Pankaj Sharma Bral, Subash Chander, Ajay Kumar, and other BJP karyakartas were also present and engaged warmly with the local community.
Speaking on the occasion, Naresh Jasrotia emphasized that such chaupals help the party stay grounded and connected with the people. He reiterated that the Modi government follows the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayas”, aiming to uplift every section of society.
Kr. Rajeev Charak commended Prime Minister Modi for his decisive and transparent leadership, highlighting India’s remarkable progress and growing stature on the global stage over the last 11 years. He stressed that direct interaction with beneficiaries adds real value to such outreach events.
Advocate Ishant Gupta, the keynote speaker, stated that he wasn’t there merely to praise the government but to highlight the real and visible transformation experienced in the mohallas and villages. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even remote villages, where basic amenities were once a distant dream, now have access to electricity, clean drinking water, and all-weather roads. He also spoke about key welfare initiatives such as PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat – SEHAT Scheme, under which every resident of Jammu & Kashmir is provided free health insurance coverage of ?5 lakh per year, regardless of income, age, or pre-existing conditions. He further highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, through which over 81 crore citizens are receiving free ration. Additionally, he spoke about how schemes like Mudra Yojana, Namo Drone Didi, and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana are empowering women, while farmers are receiving direct financial support and youth are accessing new opportunities through skill development and startup initiatives.
Gupta underscored that India today is stronger, more secure, and globally respected. He listened to testimonials from local beneficiaries and encouraged all residents to stay united and work towards the collective progress of their mohalla and the nation.
Surjeet Singh called the last 11 years under the Modi government a golden era marked by progress, development, and national pride.
The programme was conducted by Karuna Chhetri, who also spoke about the significant improvement in the lives of women and the underprivileged through government schemes. Leela Chhetri, as Co-Convenor, played a key role in coordinating the event.
