Jammu & Kashmir Athletic Association holds meeting to finalize upcoming events

The Jammu & Kashmir Athletic Association convened an important meeting under the chairmanship of its President Mr. Suneel Mahajan to deliberate upon its upcoming programmes, including the National Senior Athletic Meet, State Athletic Meet, and All 20 Districts Athletic Meets.
Mr. Sharad Chander, Secretary of the Association, provided a detailed briefing on all the scheduled events. He outlined key components related to logistics, coordination, and planning strategies to ensure the success of these prestigious athletic events.
Extensive discussions were held to finalize the guidelines concerning event dates, deployment of technical officials, and selection of venues across the Union Territory.
The meeting was further enriched with the guidance and inputs of Sh. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary of the Olympic Association of J&K, who extended his full support and margdarshan for the smooth conduct of the programmes. Suneel Mahajan, President of the Jammu & Kashmir Athletic Association, said, “These upcoming athletic events are pivotal in fostering sportsmanship and identifying talent across the Union Territory. With the collective efforts of our team and the support of national and state-level associations, we are committed to ensuring their grand success.” All the events will be conducted under the aegis of J&K Sports Council. Among those who were present in the meeting included Mr. Ravinder Singh Babi, Vice President, Athletic Association of J&K; Mr. Nirmal Singh, Chairman, Technical Committee, Athletic Association J&K and Mr. Vinod Bhatia, President, Jammu District Athletic Association. Their participation and expertise added significant value to the strategic planning and reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to promoting athletics across all districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
