Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, today celebrated its 47th Foundation Day by organizing a grand religious programme marked with devotion and spiritual fervour.
The event commenced with a sacred Yagya, followed by soulful bhajans and enlightening Vedic pravachans. Prior to the Yagya, Pandit Ranvijay Shastri explained the spiritual and environmental significance of Yagya—highlighting how the burning of odoriferous substances with pure ghee in the holy fire, while chanting Vedic mantras, purifies the atmosphere.
Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organisation), BJP J\&K, addressed the gathering and spoke about the founding of Arya Samaj in 1875 by the great reformer Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. He lauded the Arya Samaj Mandir, Trikuta Nagar, for its unwavering commitment to social service, promotion of Vedic culture, education, and moral upliftment.
He emphasized that Maharishi Dayanand’s teachings—especially as his 200th birth anniversary is being observed this year—continue to be a guiding light for youth, inspiring them towards righteousness and national pride.
Rekha Mahajan, senior BJP leader, also graced the occasion and extended her heartfelt greetings to the Arya Samaj family. In her address, she praised the organization’s 47-year-long journey of promoting Sanatan values, unity, and spiritual awakening. She also appreciated the relentless efforts of the temple management and religious leaders in preserving India’s rich dharmic and cultural traditions.
After the Yagya, the ceremonial flag hoisting of the ‘Om Dhwaj’ was performed by senior members of the Arya Samaj, including Ravinder Rekhi (Pradhan), Bharat Bhushan Arya (Vice President), Subash Arya (Mantri), Suneel Mahajan, Ajay Gupta, and others.
A special tribute was paid by Acharya Shri Hari Shankar Agnihotri Ji, the main speaker and Yajna Brahma of the event. He appreciated the spiritual contributions of Pandit Ranvijay Shastri, the temple’s Purohit, and Shri Kuldeep Arya Ji, the Bhajanopdeshak, for their dedication and service.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of devotees, local residents, and community leaders. The day was marked by devotion, spiritual enlightenment, and a reaffirmation of commitment to the ideals of Arya Samaj.
