Kishtwar pays tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 134th Birth Anniversary

The 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was commemorated with profound respect and patriotic fervor at Paddar in the Kishtwar district, organized by the Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Sewa Manch Paddar.
The commemorative program was graced by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, who attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The occasion witnessed vibrant participation from local residents, students, and officials, all united in paying homage to one of India’s greatest social reformers and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.
The DC on the occasion, highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s monumental contributions to the shaping of modern India.
“Dr. Ambedkar laid the cornerstone of democratic India. It is our collective responsibility to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, and equality that he enshrined in our Constitution,” he stated.
He further praised Dr. Ambedkar’s tireless advocacy for the marginalized and his unrelenting fight against social injustice. “His vision of an inclusive, equitable society remains as relevant today as ever. Let us draw inspiration from his life and continue working towards a just and inclusive India,” the DC added.
The event also featured a rich cultural program, including performances by local artists.
The Deputy Commissioner applauded the efforts of the organizing committee and participating teams for their enthusiastic contributions.
The DC also felicitated the participants on the occasion.
DDC Member Paddar Hari Krishan Chouhan, Chairman of the Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Manch Paddar, Doulat Ram and other committee members were present on the occasion.
