As part of the ongoing Rajouri Day celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today flagged off a trekking expedition from Chenani Bagla aimed at promoting adventure tourism and highlighting the scenic splendor of the district.
The trekking event was organized by the Chief Executive Officer Rajouri Development Authority Mohammad Fareed Kohli and witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials and nature enthusiasts alike.
The route charted out for the expedition took the trekkers from the serene Chenani Bagla to the culturally rich village of Mankote and the revered Shiv Cave, culminating at the picturesque Thandikassi Park.
Additional District Development Commissioner Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, along with other district and sectoral officers, also participated in the trek, showcasing their commitment to promoting eco-tourism and healthy lifestyles.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC emphasized the potential of Rajouri as a hub for adventure tourism and stated that such initiatives not only foster community engagement but also bring attention to the natural and cultural treasures of the region.
