Gives deadline of 10 days for disposal of pending cases

In order to review the latest progress achieved under PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers and other stakeholders at D.C Office, here.
Addressing the meeting, the DC stressed upon all stakeholders to work with added zeal and close coordination to ensure timely disposal of the applications received under the Muft Bijli Yojana so that the people are benefitted under the scheme.
She directed the concerned officers to hold joint camps consisting of KPDCL, Vendors, Bankers & other stakeholders to facilitate and guide the consumers about the scheme so that they do not face any inconvenience.
It was informed that 787 applications have been received for installation of the solar systems; of which 312 are under process and 18 solar roof top systems stand installed.
Ayushi stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure disposal of all 312 pending cases within the period of 10 days positively. She impressed upon the KPDCL officers to intensify the efforts to ensure the scheme reaches maximum number of households so that they are benefitted with the renewable energy solutions which will both reduce their electricity bills and ease power woes.
