State President of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor has praised the passing of Waqf (Amendment) Bill and Muslim Waqf (Abolition) Bill by the Parliament and congratulated PM Modi for this. Along with this, he said that the Central Government should form a Hindu Temple Board for the maintenance of Hindu temples. He described the passing of the Waqf Bill in both the houses of Parliament as an important step towards socio-economic justice in India.
Hindustan Shiv Sena State President Vikrant Kapoor said this while addressing a press conference in Jammu. Let us tell you that the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed on Wednesday amid a fierce debate between the ruling party and the opposition members in the Lok Sabha. In Rajya Sabha too, this bill was passed amidst heated debate between the ruling party and opposition members. In the voting held on this in Lok Sabha, a total of 288 votes were cast in its favour while 232 MPs voted against it. Whereas Rajya Sabha approved this bill with a majority of 128 votes against 95.
He said that the passage of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and the Muslim Waqf (Abolition) Bill by both the Houses of Parliament is an important moment for socio-economic justice. Slamming the opposition for opposing it to mislead Muslims, Vikrant Kapoor said that it will be beneficial for Muslims. He further said that these reforms will bring long-pending transparency in the Waqf system. He said that the law passed by Parliament will promote transparency and also protect the rights of the people.
He advised the opposition not to cross the limits of appeasement to serve their political interests and said that the opposition should not try to mislead Muslims regarding this bill. Let us tell you that many opposition parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and AIMIM have termed it anti-constitutional.
Vikrant Kapoor said that this will benefit poor Muslims. Calling it a historic day, he said that now not only poor Muslims will get the benefit of this but people of OBC and Pasmanda communities will also get representation in the Waqf Board. Now this bill will be sent to President Draupadi Murmu for her approval before it becomes a law.
He said that he will also write a letter to PM Modi to congratulate him on behalf of Hindustan Shiv Sena and will also request him to constitute a Hindu Temple Board for the maintenance of Hindu temples.
Senior Hindustan Shiv Sena leaders Sunil debotra, Rakesh Bhadwaraj, Baba Ram Kaith, Abhishek, Himanshu, Amit, women wing leader Jyoti Devi and others were also present during the press conference.
