In a commendable effort to promote road safety and responsible behavior among young learners, the Indian Army organized an awareness lecture on “Traffic Rules” at Government Middle School, Lamberi. The initiative aimed to educate students, teachers, and parents about the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and practicing safe commuting habits. Traffic safety is a critical concern that affects individuals across all age groups. Every year, countless lives are lost or permanently impacted due to road accidents, often caused by negligence, overspeeding, or lack of awareness. Recognizing the urgency of addressing this issue, the Indian Army conducted the lecture to equip students with essential knowledge about traffic rules, road signs, pedestrian safety, and the repercussions of reckless driving.
During the session, experts from the Indian Army provided comprehensive insights into safe driving techniques, the necessity of wearing helmets and seat belts, and the importance of following traffic signals. Real-life incidents were also discussed to emphasize how small mistakes on the road can lead to major accidents.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 38 students, 6 teachers, 2 parents, and 3 ex-servicemen (ESM) attending the session. The attendees expressed their gratitude for the insightful session, stating that they felt more confident and aware of traffic regulations after the lecture.
