In a solemn and emotionally charged tribute, the Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) organized a candle march to honor and mourn the martyrdom of B S Chib, Jaswant Singh, Tariq Hussain, and Jasbir Singh. The march, which commenced from the Press Club Dogra Chowk and culminated at Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue at Tawi Bridge, was not just a gesture of remembrance but also a powerful demonstration of grief and protest against the administration’s failure to address critical issues concerning public safety and justice.
The event was led by YRS Chairman Raghubir Singh and President Vikram Singh Vicky, who were joined by the Core Committee members, the state team, and a large gathering of supporters. Holding candles and placards, the participants marched in complete silence, symbolizing the depth of their anguish and frustration over the administration’s perceived inaction.
The march reflected the growing resentment among the people, who believe that the sacrifices of these brave individuals have not been given due recognition or justice.
Addressing the gathering, YRS Chairman Raghubir Singh expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the departed souls and underscored the urgency of taking corrective measures.
He stated that the sacrifices made by these brave individuals must not go in vain and called upon the authorities to act decisively. He emphasized that it was the duty of the administration to ensure justice for the martyrs and their families.
YRS President Vikram Singh Vicky also spoke on the occasion, highlighting the negligence of the administration in addressing the grievances of the people. He reiterated YRS’s unwavering commitment to fighting for justice and ensuring that the fallen heroes receive due honor and recognition.
He demanded an official inquiry into the circumstances surrounding their martyrdom and insisted on proper compensation and support for the bereaved families.
The Core Committee members and state team echoed similar sentiments, stressing the need for the government and administration to acknowledge the gravity of the situation. They warned that if the authorities fail to take appropriate action, YRS will be compelled to intensify its protests in the coming days. The Sabha made it clear that it would not remain silent while justice is being denied.
Prominent dignitaries, including S.P. South Ajay Sharma, SHO Nawabad Deepak Pathania, former President of the Bar Association M.K. Bhardwaj, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Team Jammu, and members of various organizations, also participated in the event to pay their respects. Their presence further reinforced the collective demand for justice and accountability.
The candle march concluded with a moment of silence and heartfelt prayers for the departed souls. YRS leaders and participants pledged to continue their struggle for justice, vowing not to rest until their demands were met.
The event stood as a testament to the unwavering spirit of Yuva Rajput Sabha and its commitment to standing against any form of injustice.
