Dy CM Surinder inaugurates Langar at BaweTemple, calls for Universal Brotherhood

On the auspicious occasion of the first day of Holy Navratri and the last day of Roza, a grand Langar was organized at the revered Bawe Temple. The event witnessed a large gathering of devotees and community members, promoting the spirit of unity and brotherhood.
The Langar was organized by senior Congress leader Taranjit Singh Tony, along with Rajan Bakshi, Ghar Singh and team members.
The occasion was graced by Dy. Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary as the Chief Guest. Prominent dignitaries present included DIG Jammu Shiv Kumar Sharma, Senior Advocates Sheikh Shakeel, Anwar Choudhary and Supriya Chouhan, Sehbaz Khan, Jatinder Chib, Sahil Shvotra, Ram Ji, Pawan Kumar, Raju Sarpanch, Gagan Panch, Shamsher Chand, Happy Randhawa, Balwinder Singh Rinku and others.
Addressing the gathering, Dy. Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary extended his warm greetings on this auspicious occasion. He emphasized the significance of universal brotherhood, highlighting that festivals like Navratri and Roza bring people together irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. He urged citizens to uphold the rich tradition of communal harmony and to work collectively towards fostering peace and unity.
The Deputy Chief Minister further cautioned people to remain vigilant against anti-national elements who attempt to create division and discord in society. He stated that such forces seek to weaken the fabric of national integration, and it is the responsibility of every citizen to counter these divisive agendas with love, respect, and mutual understanding.
Choudhary reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and security for all communities and encouraged people to participate in such initiatives that strengthen social bonds
Taranjit Singh Tony, in his address, underscored the importance of communal harmony and unity. He emphasized that such religious and cultural events serve as a bridge between different communities, fostering a spirit of mutual respect and coexistence. He highlighted that true devotion is reflected not just in prayers but also in acts of service and kindness towards humanity.
Tony announced that a Vishal Langar will be organized on the upcoming Navami festival, marking the conclusion of Navratris, to further strengthen the spirit of togetherness and provide an opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together and celebrate in unity. He reiterated his commitment to organizing such initiatives that promote social harmony and encourage inclusive participation.
Senior Advocate Sheikh Shakeel, while addressing the gathering, encouraged people to stay united and celebrate such festivals collectively, reinforcing the cultural and social fabric of the region.
The Langar served as a symbol of communal harmony, bringing people from different faiths together in the true spirit of inclusivity and devotion.
