Director, Hospitality & Protocol Department, Jammu & Kashmir, Ashwani Khajuria, conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing projects in the Kashmir division, with emphasis on completion of pending work in the Additional Block of Circuit House, Srinagar.
During the review, the Director expressed serious concern over project delays and issued strict directives to the executing agencies, emphasizing the completion of the work well before April 20, 2025. He instructed the officials to eliminate bottlenecks, expedite progress and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Among others present were Joint Director H&P Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz, Deputy Director & Assistant Director Hospitality & Protocol Kashmir; Executive Engineer, R&B Division Dalgate and representatives from R&B Electric Division, Mechanical and Hospital Division and other functionaries.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the Additional Block, the Director stressed that its timely completion is critical for accommodating the dignitaries and officials, particularly during high profile government engagements.
He emphasized regular progress reviews and close monitoring of the project, cautioning that any further delay or lapse will be dealt with strictly.
During the visit, the Director inspected key guest houses and facilities, assessing the progress on renovation, up-gradation and housekeeping initiatives. Special attention was given to improving boarding and lodging services in line with modern hospitality standards.
Reaffirming the commitment of the Hospitality & Protocol Department to excellence, the Director reiterated that all establishments under its jurisdiction must reflect the highest standards of professionalism and service delivery.
The review also included discussion on enhancing coordination with allied departments to streamline services and address any operational challenges.
