DC reviews implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in Rajouri

Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress achieved under the centrally sponsored schemes, including the Central Road Fund (CRF), SAMAGRA Shiksha, Mid-Day Meal Scheme, PM SHRI Schools, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), Tribal Sub-Plan, Border Area Development Programme (BADP), and Rearing House Sericulture.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for timely execution of projects and optimal utilization of funds. He directed the concerned departments to ensure transparency, efficiency, and quality in all developmental works.
He also stressed the importance of the PM SHRI Schools initiative aimed at strengthening the education sector.
He called for effective implementation of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme to promote gender equality and education for girls.
Additionally, the DC reviewed execution of the Tribal Sub-Plan and BADP, instructing officials to expedite infrastructure development in tribal and border areas.
Reviewing achievements in the sericulture sector, he urged officials to focus on promoting rearing houses and enhancing silk production to benefit local farmers and artisans.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the departments to submit regular progress reports and ensure that all schemes are implemented in a time-bound manner for the welfare of the people.
Senior officers, including SE PWD Devi Dayal; Chief Planning Officer Maqsood Ahmed; Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), Chief Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, District Sericulture Officer, and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
