98 Battalion of the CRPF organized its 17th free medical camp in the border district of Kupwara at Govt Mixed Primary School Zirhama,Kupwara. This camp was held under the Civic Action Program, offering free medical check-ups, health advice, and the distribution of free medicines. The attendees praised the CRPF for their efforts.
This initiative stands as a testament to CRPF’s steadfast commitment to ensuring that essential healthcare services reach even the most remote and economically challenged sections of society.
During the camp, a dedicated team of medical professionals conducted comprehensive health check-ups and provided necessary medications free of charge to local residents. An official Lt Col BK Mishra from the CRPF stated in an interview with the media, “Our ongoing objective is to reach out to every underprivileged individual, offering them essential health guidance and care. Through our assistance scheme, we ensure that those who are unable to access private clinics or are economically challenged receive proper medical support.”
During winter, children and the elderly are often affected by fever, colds, coughs, and respiratory diseases, while individuals with joint pains experience increased discomfort. Additionally, through the “CRPF Madadgar” program, the CRPF provides essential items to artisans and needy individuals. He encouraged the public to seek help through the CRPF toll-free number or by visiting nearby camps.
CRPF doctors advised attendees to follow prescribed medications properly, noting that many people due to a lack of awareness were using medications incorrectly, which was worsening their health.
They also urged the elderly and children to stay indoors during the winter and take preventive measures to protect themselves.
The 98Bn proactive approach, as part of its civic action programme, underscores its commitment to community welfare and public service. By delivering healthcare directly to the doorsteps of residents, the CRPF aims to create a healthier and more secure environment for all.
