Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today distributed cheques to the legal heirs of road accident victims under the J&K Road Safety Accident Victim Fund. The distribution took place in his office chamber, emphasizing the commitment to assist those affected by road tragedies.
During the event, cheques amounting to ?1 lakh each were given to the families of deceased victims, while ?50,000 was provided to a grievously injured individual.
The deceased victims recognized included Abdullah Rehman (S/o Abdul Rehman, Noona Bandi), Zareena Begum (W/o Mumtaz Hussain, Arai Mandi), and Yassar Mehmood (S/o Manzoor Hussain, Village Marhote Surankote). Additionally, Ghulam Hussain (S/o Feteh Mohammaf, Surankote) received compensation for his grievous injuries.
