District Programme Officer ICDS (Poshan), in collaboration with the District Administration Doda, organized a Healthy Baby Competition today at Town Hall Doda, under the IEC initiative, “Healthy Children Make a Healthy Nation.”
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh- the Chief Guest inaugurated the event and inspected stalls set up to raise awareness about child health and nutrition.
The DC emphasized the critical role of Anganwadi workers in shaping the early years of childhood development. He urged them to act as foster mothers, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of the children under their care. He also highlighted the importance of fostering cognitive skills, including decision-making abilities and presence of mind, to prepare children for a bright future.
As part of the event, certificates were distributed among Anganwadi workers, acknowledging their dedicated service.
Additionally, books were distributed to children, encouraging early learning and development.
The event was attended by the District Programme Officer ICDS Paramjeet Singh, CEO Doda Mohammad Hafiz, EO MC Doda Ravi Parihar, CDPOs, supervisors, Anganwadi workers, helpers, childrens and others.
