SMVDU Dance Club Excels at VIVACITY ’25, wins multiple titles at LNMIIT Jaipur

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Dance Club, under the Board of Cultural Activities, delivered a remarkable performance at VIVACITY ’25, the cultural fest of LNMIIT Jaipur, securing four podium finishes against 13 universities from seven states across India. Under the leadership of Achint Raj, Dance Club Coordinator, and faculty coordinators Dr. Rakesh Thusoo and Dr. Rahul Sharma, the team captivated audiences with their electrifying performances.
The team secured the 1st Runner-up position in the Group Folk + Classical Dance category, where they performed Bhaderwahi and Dogri folk dances under the guidance of Achint Raj. The performance featured Shriya Sharma, Drishti Mahajan, Vaidehi, Aru Sharma, Charu Sharma, Kamakshi Gupta, Avineet Isher, Deepika Sharma, Bhavya Sharma, Shambhavi Sharma, Pounami Das, and Sneha Sambyal. In the Solo Western Dance category, Vardhan Sharma’s power-packed performance earned him the 1st Runner-up position, while Akhya Agrawal and Nikhil secured the 2nd Runner-up position in the Duet Classical Dance category with their graceful act.
Additionally, Kritika Sangotra claimed the 1st position in the Contrast Art Competition, adding to the team’s overall success.
The team also won a cash prize, which will be awarded later, marking their dedication and excellence. Their outstanding achievement at VIVACITY ’25 further strengthens SMVDU’s reputation as a leading force in university dance competitions at the national level. Their success is a testament to their talent, hard work, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
